"Smart" Collections
I love the idea of collections because we can create a folder which someone in our institution can access without accessing the whole of our asset library. The problem I have with collections is I can't build a collection explicitly based on a category or another taxonomy so that when I add additional photos to the (for example our "Library") collection, additional photos show up there when I add them to our "Library" category. The other solution to this would be to give admins the ability to grant user access based on more specificity—ie. not just folder, but also other custom taxonomies (in our case, "Departments").

Email notifications for approved assets
"Your assets are now available in Dash." Logged-in users whose assets need to be approved after upload should be notified when their assets have been approved and are available in Dash. I don't think the email message needs to link out to the assets themselves, but that would be neat if possible. A simple notification would be just as useful, and then users could log in and find their assets.

Smart Tagging - suggest tags trained on my images and metadata
Save time tagging images with Smart Tagging. Dash learns from your existing images and metadata to automatically suggest the right tags on new uploads. 💡 Why it’s useful: Tagging assets manually is time-consuming, especially when you’re dealing with large batches of images. Smart Tagging speeds this up by using AI to suggest values for custom fields like campaigns, product names, rooms, or content types - based on the tags you've already applied to similar assets. By making it quicker and easier to tag your assets, they’ll become more searchable - helping your team find what they need, fast. ⚙️ How it works: Upload your imagesDash analyses your assets using your existing metadataClick “Show suggestions” to see AI-generated tags for fixed-value fields like folders, dropdowns, or checklistsAccept, tweak, or reject suggestions before saving The more you tag, the smarter it gets - because Dash’s AI model is trained on your own data and improves over time.

Drag and Drop to Folder
Would love to be able to drag-n-drop images into a folder while browsing thumbnails. Beats having to go through the edit window to assign different folders.

Display directly selected folders on portal homepage, rather than parent folders
This is a bit of a difficult one to explain, so here are some screenshots. If the portal is configured as in the first screenshot, the folders will be displayed on the homepage as per the second screenshot. This suggestion is that instead, the folders displayed on the homepage would just be the directly selected folders, i.e. Office, Example Folder, and Example Child.

Tagging People in Photo
With facial recognition off the table (understandable) it would be nice to still be able to select an individual and manually identify them. Group photos can have a list of people identified but that can be just a list of names if somebody doesn't know a majority of the people in the photo.

Make 'date added' date less confusing when new versions have been uploaded
When we add a new version, the date added still shows the original date added date, not the date the most recent version was added. This is confusing and makes it look like the asset is out of date.

Use certain field criteria to clearly mark that asset as "do not use" or hide it entirely
A customer wants to retain better control over their assets. When other users are scrolling through assets, they want them to clearly be able to see whether they're ok to use or not. Although field entries currently achieve this somewhat, it'd be good if this was even clearer, as they can be missed if not explicitly looking. 2 ways to do this could be: Hide the asset entirely (maybe from contributor/basic users?) if a certain field entry is selected, e.g "Use/ Do not use" > "do not use" is selectedIf "do not use" were selected, add some kind of clear banner or filter over the asset, so it's clearer that it shouldn't be used.

Improve display of SVGs
Currently, SVG images are displayed in a fixed size in various places in Dash, including on the home screen and in the asset details page. Given SVGs are scalable in nature, a good improvement would be to have Dash scale the SVGs to the optimal size depending on how they are being displayed.

Send a bulk reminder to pending users to set up their Dash account
Based on a customer request. After users are invited, some of them will not set up their account, or take a long time to. It would be a good to be able to select these users that are still "pending" and press a button that emails them a reminder to set up their Dash.

Improve suggested filters layout on mobile
Suggested filters can take up the majority of the screen when browsing on mobile, which leads to a confusing experience.
