Ability to set a custom thumbnail for video assets. We share some finished projects in a portal, but all the auto-selected thumbnails are a black screen, so it’s not clear which video is which. Doesn’t need to be a high-res image or retrievable, but enough to tell one asset from another.

This would enable users with edit permission to add or change the thumbnail used to represent an asset (in the search results and on the Asset Details page). It would be particularly useful for assets that currently show the generic file icon i.e. for formats for which it's not possible to automatically generate the thumbnails. A brand often incorporates two or more fonts. It would be handy to upload a zip file that contains all the necessary fonts for a brand that are contained in a zip file. Then I could add an image or gif that highlights the unique fonts.

Description: It would be very useful to add filtering options to the metadata export feature in DASH, especially the ability to export metadata only for a specific folder or selected subset of assets. At the moment, metadata export appears to generate a full export of all assets, which means users have to download the entire file first and then manually filter the data afterward. This creates unnecessary extra work, consumes time, and uses more system resources than needed, especially when the goal is only to work with a limited group of assets. Suggested enhancement: Allow users to apply filters before exporting metadata, such as: Folder Collection Asset type Custom filters already available in DASH Selected assets or search results Benefits: Reduces export file size Saves time for administrators and users Avoids unnecessary processing and manual filtering afterward Makes metadata export much more efficient for everyday workflows Improves usability when managing large asset libraries Use case: For example, if I only want to export metadata for assets inside one specific folder, I should be able to do that directly in DASH instead of exporting the full metadata file for all assets and filtering it manually afterward.

For internal and/or external users to be able to comment on assets in a collection for the purposes of collaboration

Ability to limit the usage/visibility of certain fields to specific folders.

This would be helpful, so I can edit the existing asset and add it to a new folder, without duplicating the file.

It would be useful to have an actual app you can download on the app store. It would be less clunky and more efficient than using a web based app. Many of our team members use their phones to download assets and post to social media.

Ability to browse/view Word, Excel, PowerPoint documents within Dash.

The ability to access a Dash account by browsing its folders from within Finder. This could be used for bulk uploads, and to support the creative workflow process - users could access Dash assets in their creative applications (e.g. Photoshop), edit them and save the edits back into Dash seamlessly.
