  1. Approval email should have thumbnails

It would be great to have a preview of the images that are being submitted for approval. This email could include up to X number of thumbnails (perhaps 12-24) so the approver knows which event these photos are from.

  2. Local desktop sync - access Dash from Finder

The ability to access a Dash account by browsing its folders from within Finder. This could be used for bulk uploads, and to support the creative workflow process - users could access Dash assets in their creative applications (e.g. Photoshop), edit them and save the edits back into Dash seamlessly.

  3. Make 'date added' date less confusing when new versions have been uploaded

When we add a new version, the date added still shows the original date added date, not the date the most recent version was added. This is confusing and makes it look like the asset is out of date.

  4. Links as assets

I would like links to be considered assets themselves. So then in one of the folders, this is shown next to the other assets with a cover / thumbnail that I chose. This feature is available in other platforms like Brandfolder (just saying it as an example) So I don't have to download and update it manually in Dash every time the file owner updates it

  5. Deletion Traceability for Assets in DASH

Objective Introduce an audit capability that records and preserves traceability of asset deletions within DASH, allowing administrators to identify who deleted a specific asset and when. Current Situation Administrators can access all deleted assets within the recycle bin during the retention period (30 days). However, there is currently no visibility into which user performed the deletion. This limits accountability, auditability, and root cause analysis in case of accidental or unauthorized removals. Proposed Enhancement Implement a deletion audit trail with the following characteristics: User Identification Store the unique user ID and username of the person who deleted the asset. Timestamp Logging Record the exact date and time of deletion (including timezone). Asset Metadata Snapshot Preserve key metadata of the asset at the time of deletion (asset ID, name, type, project, owner, etc.). Visibility in the Recycle Bin Add a new column in the bin view: Deleted by Deleted on Audit Log Integration Ensure deletion events are included in the global audit log for reporting and compliance purposes. Allow filtering by user, date range, or asset type. Extended Retention (Optional) Even after permanent deletion (post 30 days), retain the deletion log entry for compliance and traceability. Business Value Improved accountability and governance Faster incident investigation Reduced operational risk Better alignment with audit and compliance requirements Increased trust in asset lifecycle management This feature would significantly strengthen control over digital asset management and align DASH with standard enterprise auditability practices.

  7. Ability of certain groups to create a portal

Offering some group of users the ability to create portals. Use case: the marketing team needs to share assets with clients via portal. Currently, i would need to give them admin access to do so. However, they do not need to upload assets or add users as such so they dont need full access.

  8. Ability to tag people infront of assets

For example, if four people are working together inside a folder and Person A has done their part of the job, they can tag another person with access to that folder and they get an email saying person A has tagged you with this message.

  12. When Dash identifies a duplicate in my upload, let me review where the duplicate is.

This would be helpful, so I can edit the existing asset and add it to a new folder, without duplicating the file.
