  1. Improve PDF viewing from external users

Currently, when sharing PDFs from Dash with external users, the asset details cover a significant portion of the screen and they have to be minimised. It's not a great first impression for the external user, who only wants to read the PDF – not see any details about the asset. As a plus, I'd also consider making the Dash PDF-viewing UI a little cleaner/more up-to-date. The rest of Dash is so slick, that this looks a little tired!

  4. Smart Tagging - suggest tags trained on my images and metadata

Save time tagging images with Smart Tagging. Dash learns from your existing images and metadata to automatically suggest the right tags on new uploads. 💡 Why it’s useful: Tagging assets manually is time-consuming, especially when you’re dealing with large batches of images. Smart Tagging speeds this up by using AI to suggest values for custom fields like campaigns, product names, rooms, or content types - based on the tags you've already applied to similar assets. By making it quicker and easier to tag your assets, they’ll become more searchable - helping your team find what they need, fast. ⚙️ How it works: Upload your imagesDash analyses your assets using your existing metadataClick “Show suggestions” to see AI-generated tags for fixed-value fields like folders, dropdowns, or checklistsAccept, tweak, or reject suggestions before saving The more you tag, the smarter it gets - because Dash’s AI model is trained on your own data and improves over time.

  5. Import from OneDrive / SharePoint

Importing from Google Drive using their desktop uploader has become really helpful for bringing large files into Dash, but I only have a free 15GB account. We use OneDrive / SharePoint in our team and have 1TB per team member,. It would be great to be able to upload to OneDrive and then import to Dash, much like we currently can with Google Drive. If such an integration would be possible, could you export files from Dash to Google Drive / OneDrive / Dropbox without having to download them?

  6. Make 'date added' date less confusing when new versions have been uploaded

When we add a new version, the date added still shows the original date added date, not the date the most recent version was added. This is confusing and makes it look like the asset is out of date.

  7. Use certain field criteria to clearly mark that asset as "do not use" or hide it entirely

A customer wants to retain better control over their assets. When other users are scrolling through assets, they want them to clearly be able to see whether they're ok to use or not. Although field entries currently achieve this somewhat, it'd be good if this was even clearer, as they can be missed if not explicitly looking. 2 ways to do this could be: Hide the asset entirely (maybe from contributor/basic users?) if a certain field entry is selected, e.g "Use/ Do not use" > "do not use" is selectedIf "do not use" were selected, add some kind of clear banner or filter over the asset, so it's clearer that it shouldn't be used.

  8. Improve display of SVGs

Currently, SVG images are displayed in a fixed size in various places in Dash, including on the home screen and in the asset details page. Given SVGs are scalable in nature, a good improvement would be to have Dash scale the SVGs to the optimal size depending on how they are being displayed.

  9. Send a bulk reminder to pending users to set up their Dash account

Based on a customer request. After users are invited, some of them will not set up their account, or take a long time to. It would be a good to be able to select these users that are still "pending" and press a button that emails them a reminder to set up their Dash.

  10. "Smart" Collections

I love the idea of collections because we can create a folder which someone in our institution can access without accessing the whole of our asset library. The problem I have with collections is I can't build a collection explicitly based on a category or another taxonomy so that when I add additional photos to the (for example our "Library") collection, additional photos show up there when I add them to our "Library" category. The other solution to this would be to give admins the ability to grant user access based on more specificity—ie. not just folder, but also other custom taxonomies (in our case, "Departments").

  11. Drag and Drop from Folders to Sub-Folders

I divide my creative assets between raw, refined, and posted. I would love to be able to drag and drop assets between them all. Would be hugely intuitive and helpful for frictionless organization.

  12. Ability to select and take action on multiple similar images

It would be great to be able to select multiple similar images when scrolling down to view similar images of an asset, and to then be able to take action on them such as sharing and downloading.

  13. Ability to organise guest upload links into folders

All the guest upload links are currently in one long list. We work with a lot of external creators and now the list has become unmanageable. It'd be great if we could just organise the different links into separate folders so its easier to manage.

  14. Thumbnail Slider

Many catalogs provide a slider tool that allows you to view more or less thumbnails at a time. The added benefit of less thumbnails is that you can see the images in a larger size and make more informed decisions on selections without having to go in and then back out of each photo (which also adds time scrolling and re-finding the photo you left off at). Super helpful for downloads.

  15. Increase or decrease thumbnail size when viewing photos

The ability to increase and/or decrease the size of thumbnails when viewing photos would be amazing! With thousands of photos to view and add to collections for sharing on social media, clicking through individual photos one by one is time-consuming. If I could just make the thumbnails a bit bigger, I feel like I could get the essence of the photo, but the thumbnails are too small. I think all users could benefit from this, and it would make it easier to view images in a collection or album for those who have difficulty seeing.
