  2. Granular permissions - more control on users

The 3 levels of user are not enough for a larger company. Currently you have 3 account levels. Only Admin can "Move" and "Delete" folders This means teams who need to manage their own assets folders need Admin control to do so. We dont want this number of people to have full admin. Ideally we would like to be able to create groups and define individual permissions for each group - i.e. to be able to create a group and determine if they can Add, Move, Delete assets, Add Move Delete folders etc, Add Users etc. The group functionality is great - but we need finer control over the permissions that sit alongside this.

  3. Comment on/have conversations about assets in a collection

For internal and/or external users to be able to comment on assets in a collection for the purposes of collaboration

  4. When Dash identifies a duplicate in my upload, let me review where the duplicate is.

This would be helpful, so I can edit the existing asset and add it to a new folder, without duplicating the file.

  6. Add a URL as an asset (and automatically create a thumbnail/preview from the linked page)

For example, you could paste a link to a file or document in Google Drive, a YouTube video, etc . These would then show as assets with a link to the source.

  8. Edit email notifications

At the moment there's no control over which email notifications I receive as an administrator. This is will get unmanageable very quickly so it would be great to be able to switch certain notifications on and off.

  9. Ability to edit asset filenames

Asset filenames are currently protected and cannot be edited. There are a few reasons for this, mainly relating to ensuring customers can always re-download the original asset in the form it was uploaded to Dash. However it may be helpful in certain situations to be able to edit the filename. One example would be where the filename contains information that is meaning the asset is showing up in searches where it is not desired.

  10. Improve the "New asset version available" email

It would be useful to have the asset title in the subject to tell at a glance whether the notification was relevant. There could also be more detail included in the email, for example a thumbnail of the asset.

  11. Sub Level Admin Access

A new sub level admin group that has admin access to only specific parent folders and not global admin access.

  12. Sort Collections List

Collections appear to be automatically sorted by Oldest->Newest. This means everytime I want to access my most recent collection I have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the list. It would be better if it sorted with newest at the top since I'm more likely to access recent collections.

  13. Users can self-register a new user account

Instead of (as well as) admins having to invite users manually, this would offer the ability for users to register their own account. This could include things like: Register button on the login page Admin approves new registration requests

  14. Be able to see which assets have been shared externally

For internal teams to know when browsing which assets have been shared externally with for example media, stakeholders Bonus: to be able to see when they were shared and who with, which can be based off who the portal or collection was created for and when.

  15. Add exact date/time to version when file is updated (instead of "xx hours ago").

Currently, when a new version of a file is added, Dash shows how long ago the file was added (Uploaded 17 hours ago). Instead, it would be helpful to have the exact date/time the file was added (Uploaded at 3:00 PM 4/12/24). Thanks!
